There is a huge Glacier made of shit heading towards News Corp right now and, just as with the phone hacking scandal, they don’t have a big enough blowtorch to melt any of it away. Yet again the illegal actions of a Murdoch employee threatens him business and his money.
The man above is Mazher Mahmood, and he went by the undercover name of "The Fake Sheikh" and his speciality was getting gullible celebrities to confess or do stupid things for sting videos which he would have as front page exclusives for Murdoch’s shitty UK tabloid rags.
He had a long dubious history but now, thanks to his own actions this has all come to an end as he has been found guilty of attempting to pervert the course of justice during the drug trial of minor celebrity and singer Tulisa Contostavlos where he and his driver were found guilty this morning of tampering with the driver’s witness statement an action which led to the case being thrown out. How watertight was this case? Well, her co-defendant had already plead guilty to supplying cocaine and had already been told he faced jail time, but due to Mahmood’s actions the judge had no other option but to find him not guilty and release him!!!!!
What is now a reality is that because of this verdict 20 more victims are planning to sue and the sums mentioned could amount up to $800 million.
Mahmood worked for The News Of The World, the sunday rag run by the Murdoch’s which was shut down after it was found that one of it’s “reporters” hacked into the phone of a missing teenaged girl called Milly Dowler and cleared messages on it’s voicemail leading her distraught parents to believe that she was still alive. He made boastful claims of his successes in the paper’s final edition but he will always now be remembered as the liar who cost the Murdochs millions.
